Taco unit signaling air in the flow. Picture is it inline to the hot water tank.

if the pump is installed on return line for DHW recirculation loop, there should be a purge valve located after the pump, on discharge side so you can purge the last section of pipe. this is the best way. some people would go to point of use, open faucet and think they have purged the line, it's that last section that's problematic. hopefully this helpsJoe Mattiello

The air purge function of the circ is automatic to remove air in the circ casing but not the system itself.
90% of the time, it will remove it on its own. If the light turns a solid red, that means it shut down to protect itself and not burn out.
Reset it by just cycling the power to the unit.
If it still doesn't get the air out, you need to purge the system and check system pressure.
