Explanation for Beckett oil pump part numbers

Part numbers like A1VB, etc. I know what the position indicates (number of stages, motor speed, etc.) but don't know what the letters mean. For example, the A indicates single stage pump but what about the other letters? If there is a chart somewhere that would be great.
Thanks

For Suntec pumps:
1st number is single-A or two stage-B.
2nd is speed (rpms) 1=1725, 2=3450
3rd is strainer capacity.
4th is Rotation and nozzle location.
After the dash, the next 2 digits are model features.
Then the next 2 digits are ID Number.
Then a dash and a model revision number.
