I am planning having a Buderus G115 installed. If I select a gas burner for it (it will accept oil or gas), what would be the advantages and disadvantages over picking an oil burner?

That boiler will run nicely when the proper burner is installed. You need to see that the burner is matched to the boiler, be it oil or gas- it won't run well with the wrong one. I usually see Carlin EZ-Gas or Riello gas burners on these units.
Basically, it comes down to which fuel you want to use. If natural gas is available, most people go that way.All Steamed Up, Inc.
