Do I drain the boiler or leave it full of water when not in use for the next six months?

No, don't drain.

I have two big boilers. Essentially the same things you might find in a big residence but really big. At the end of the heating season I fill them up to the very top and fire them up to boiling to remove the O2 and close the king valves.

Its called a wet lay up. Keep water in them till the next heating season.
And do what is said ^^^^^^^above^^^^^^^0 -
And don’t forget to drain it down to normal level on the gauge glass when you fire up in the fall!—

Thanks for the information. Last season I added 8-way boiler water treatment to the boiler. What are the thoughts on additives for rust and corrosion control?0
