Carefully loosen that large screw and see if any air vents out. Air trapped in the circulator is one common noise.

If it is more of a squeal, could be the bearing is fried, the motor will need to be replaced. Is it circulating the water ok?

If a large pocket of air traps it will stop flowing and often the motor gets very hot to the touch. This condition is when the bearings can be compromised.
