B&G FB 38 Water feeder problems

Has any one else come across these water feeders having the black plastic cap on bottom blow out? I have recently had 2 blow out on different jobs installed approximately same time. Luckily both in unfinished basements

    I had one blow out once on one of my jobs, found out someone left a basement window open- froze and blew out. Never had that happen by itself. Still my go to for repairs or replacement. Like the Caleffi combo for new boiler installs.
