Having issues with my boiler

So I started my boiler for this winter. And it started up just fine. And 4 days later its tripped off. So I go and reset the boiler. I noticed the motor not turning on right away. So I use the palm of my hand to smack the transformer box. And then the motor kicks on. And I have to repeat this process for the past few days anyone have any possible ideas of what this could possibly be?

i would GUESS bad burner motor, but very possibly another issue.
Stop beating your burner... it's good to you! it keeps your warm... you are likely to damage something else by beating it and be worse off than you are now.

A pro can successfully test the motor to verify if it is bad.

It could be the burner motor, fuel pump, or coupling.
Giving it a smack tells me its probably the motor.
    What brand and model burner?

Or a contactor depending on what gets jostled when you smack the motor...
