Upcycling Cast Iron Radiators

I found a Cast Iron Radiator that is being removed during a whole house remodel, the price is right and we are wanting to add an additional radiator to our basement( 2000sq ft and only 6 radiators totaling 12-14 ft all except one are 3 column around 30" tall). Question I have is I am planning on getting all of the radiators blasted and priming and painting them so they are all matching. Is there any concern doing this, I will caplug all of the threaded connections?
