Hi,

I was wondering if anyone has experimented with spraying graphite lubricant onto the subfloor before doing a staple up job with the metal plates. Would this improve heat transfer at all?

I feel like it would make a mess, maybe even a smelly mess.

I'm not sure it would add enough value for the cost and hassle?

Best to get a nice flat, clean subfloor and screw the plates as tightly as possible.

It's the plate to floor air gaps or spaces that reduce the conductive transfer.
