Old Burnham

Stumbled across this in an old basement today... I saw a few posts from the past on similar models. I never knew Burnham started in NY. I am curious when they started production in Lancaster, as that is where this boiler is. Looks like it was converted to oil before being torn apart

Because that is a steel boiler it must have been made elsewhere

There was a whole thread here on the history of Burnham. I do remember something about them starting in NY or had another branch there.
Now Burnham is under US Boiler.

There was an error rendering this rich post.

The Burnham brand started in Irvington NY. In 1923, the first operations started in Lancaster in the form of a foundry and machine shop, but were expanded to production in subsequent years. The brand is now fully manufactured by U.S. Boiler in Lancaster. Burham Commercial (a separate division) is also based in Lancaster as well.
