Hi, have a 6 year old boiler with weather comp and having intermittent faults. Recent fault combustion controller lock out which I managed to resolve by resetting. Previously had combustion controller FE fault. Call out engineer fiddled around and managed to get it working but root cause still not fixed. Spoke to viessman and they say it’s either a coding card fault or main PCB issue being intermittent. Any suggestions or ideas as was planning on swapping out cheaper coding card but not aware of what it actually does ?
Seems getting issues every one to 2 months. Call out emergency cover not replacing anything as they reset and power cycle to fix it. Last guy said it was gas valve issue but the pipe work sizing is more than adequate. any advise most welcome.
