Recommendations for thermostatic mixing valve.

nibs Member Posts: 511
DHW boiler output is 2.1gpm @140F. Prices are all over the map & this ole guy has no referents for mixing valves. Cost is very important to us, but do not want to buy a unit that might burn the grand little kids.
Watts seems to be middle of the road and a known brand, what output temp is best.
Once again the bugles play ............ WALL to the rescue.................. Thanks again for all the help.

Only one correct answer to that question :)

The only angle pattern I know of. Accurate down to 1/2 gpm, The H port closes off so if you add a recirc, you will not get temperature creep.

Settings are usually 120°F, or 110° for child care facilities and elderly housing. If you have smalls in your home the 110° setting might be considered.

If you have a tankless or combi few feet of piping before the valve helps it keep a stable temperature, or a small tank DHW buffer, like some of the combis now include.
