Anyone know a place where to take a lead wiping class on Long Island NY? Or just a master plumbing test prep class in general

They still teach that? I learned the skill in the 70's, used it a little then never again. They told me to get the lead out if ever found it again.

Wow. Wiping lead class? Was told that that was no longer going to be offered in my neck of the woods. Lead poisoning issues, inhaled, ingested poison etc.
I haven't run a lead joint in years and haven't made a joint with ferrule connection in I dont no how long.
I sure am curious to see if this is still offered.

They offer master practice tests online.

This is still required for the master plumbers license in Nassau county on Long Island.

They should test potential licensees on a skill they may actually use instead.

Apparently they don’t have the funding to alter the test in that manner @JohnNY.

    I understand @Danny Scully
It’s mostly just a way of weeding people out anyway, but maybe if there’s a Plumbers Association or something, they should take the lead on that change.
Or leave it alone. All good. Not my fight.
    Happy summer, my friend.
