I am in the process of taking the written test to obtain the Nyc Dob oil burner installer license . I have studied the Nyc mechanical and fuel gas codes and nfpa 31 . I have contacted Dob and they were unable to provide any help as to what is on the written or practical test . Has anyone here in Nyc area obtained this license that could provide any additional information about written or practical tests ? Thank you in advance

Did you try your local NORA chapter? It would be odd to me that there is no licensing class available, or an exam prep class.
There was an error rendering this rich post.

I have not been able to find any kind of prep classes or even a clear understanding as to what is on test . Local Nora seems to deal primarily with residential licensing . I can find licensing information in other local states but not for new york.0
