Any one know anything about these systems? My guys stumbled upon it this week. I just have a few pictures. Someone added vents to all the radiators. I am going to go out and take a look for myself, but wanted to see what I could learn first. Can't really see where it vents?

That looks similar to the Haines company which also made those Bourdon-tube traps. It looks like it vents into the chimney through what looks like a Webster 5-series trap.
Congratulations on finding another Vapor species. I think @DanHolohan will have to revisit "Lost Art Revisited" before too long......

"The Lost Art of Steam Heating, Revisited Again", or something like that. Should be a good move, since it would make the original Lost Art Revisited a collectors' itemAll Steamed Up, Inc.

The Smithsonian has this company's catalog too, just like Triumph Valve from my earlier thread:

That’s truly amazing. I’ve never considered that possibility for a steam trap. Seems that if pressures remain at civilized levels they could last a long time. I suppose first cost could have been a deterrent.
You’d think this would have caught on as a legit variation of the radiator trap. When E.F. Houghton talks, people listen. Or not. :-)Terry T
