Every winter I get a night where the heat is off. The boiler is running, but the anti conds. valve is closed. I move it manually and it works for a while. Sooner or later I have to replace it, then all is well till next time. I've replace it last week for the 4th time in 9 years. I'm sitting this morning, typing with no heat. All zones are calling for heat and it's closed. If I push it manually, it automatically goes back to closed. This is my 2nd unit since 98. first died in 10 yrs and since it was in the middle of winter, it was easier and quicker, just to replace the same unit. Does anyone have an answer to this issue? Thanks, Dave

Man that stinks sorry for the aggravation. I havent ever seen them fail that often. Are you changing just the head or the whole assembly?Tom

Changed the unit, the valve itself, turns freely by hand. Something is not telling it to open0
