My customer already installed A btx 100 - 199 , there was an old rhinnia unit on the wall, that was there when sandy hit and never replaced it . He wants a new tank-less for when the water heater is failing which its doing right now. ( no error code but the unit can't keep up with the demand), I think the burner has to be cleaned out or that is what tech support says. I want to to replace the old water heater on wall with a new Navien with a recirc pump built in. I want to for experimental reasons have the tank at 100 degrees and let the Navien heat the unit to 135 degrees which they have set right now, and use the A.O, SMITH as an indirect. if it keeps up with no problem i will eventually get rid of the big monster tank when it fails and install a storage tank or a smaller water heater.
does that make any sense to you ?
