in Oil Heating
I need to repair leaks in the copper fittings on this system. Should I remove this? Why did they plumb it like this?

They've connected the supply and return. It must be making the circ pump work much harder than it should.0

That looks like somebody made a mistake? Or, they forgot to install a valve between the branches of the two tees?0

Is that off a boiler system and are their multiple circulators on this system?
I suspect 1 circulator at the boiler and 1 downstream of those tees.
Is this a Weil Mclain Ultra??
If so you probably need to leave those tees although I am not crazy about that set up0
