hello i paid a salvage co. to remove my above ground oil tank.it is now gone but come to find out they might not have gotten permit to remove tank .any idea how this is gonna come back on me.i ilive in maand plan on selling house

Tell your lawyer when you go to sell hope you have some paperwork. If it was an above ground tank as you said it may not be as much of an issue. Underground leaks are the real deal.0

I DIY removed the above ground oil tank in the basement of my last house in western Mass after converting to gas. I did not get a permit from the local FD, but did bring it to the disposal yard in Chicopee and had a receipt from that. It's not like a buried tank, by me anyway, where you would need a certificate of abatement.0
