    Toasty...... radiant heat only........ that + or - 10% efficiency
    After Arab oil embargo I sealed fireplace. Damper had ~ 1/8 -1/4 inch gap. Warm air chimney effect draft losses.

    Relatives in Maine only heat with wood stove. At christmas it's cold when get up in AM (fire is out), even though fire was loaded ~ midnight. But not sure how long fire lasts.
