Powered anode kits

Wondering what’s the thoughts on them and success or failure you had with them . I’ve used buderus power kit that seems to be unavailable in the past but really seemed to work well when left plugged in .Just looking for a alternative to replacing them yearly or bi yearly and also possible better protection for indirect tanks peace and good luckclammy

No experience , but I read AC powered DC supplies are used to bias pipelines so they don't corrode. Don't see any reason it wouldn't work on a tank. Would think the consumed electrode would should not be stainless, or might dissolve chromium into water, not health to drink
Only issue would be if power supply failed would want an indicator of that somehow.0 -
Hello, They have a couple of different types at Water Heater Rescue. Mainly they are good if odor is a problem as they seem to create little hydrogen gas, which the smelly bugs like. They are particularly useful in softened or very conductive water, which eats up conventional anodes in as little as six months.
