Hissing/Naked Riser

Been trying to solve an excessive hissing issue with a second floor radiator. The mains are now well vented and the mains and risers are insulated, except one bare exposed riser that goes from my basement, up through my living room, to an upstairs bedroom. Even with a #6 Gorton vent on it, the radiator hisses for prolonged periods of time, much longer than the others with smaller vents. It's magnified by the fact that my boiler is oversized and short cycles. Could that bare riser be contributing to the problem and do you think I'd get any relief by insulating it? Can anyone suggest a bigger or quieter vent?

A hissing vent is not likely caused by an uninsulated pipe. Poor main vent may be one reason, High pressure is another, either because the Pressuretrol is set too high (should be .5 PSI Cut-in and "1" differential) or the pigtail (looped pipe the Pressuretrol is mounted on) is clogged and the boiler can't see the pressure.1
