Hi Rod. I have sold my customer 2 of the Stelrad DTSC69X24 LADDER RAIL TOWEL WARMERS
How do you use a Hydronic towel warmer in the summer months? Or do you not warm the towels in the summer. If the bathroom is not calling for heat, then the towel warmer won't be on. Should he try to use a small buffer tank? I know my customer(installer) should know this but as i am the heating guy out here in Vancouver and I am just trying to wrap my head around this. How would you pipe it?
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks
Jeff

I went with an electric towel bar all those reasons. It is on a t-stat and you can get programmable versions also. Actually when covered with towels they do not add much heat to the room.
I'd run them on their own loop if they want summer use, although it will be a micro load on the boiler.
Even so, in summer months having a programable stat minimizes cooling load.
Another options to get a copper version and put it on the DHW recirculation loop.Bob "hot rod" Rohr
