Big Mouth leaking steam

I never thought of staring at BM with a flashlight until yesterday. I noticed after the steam hits the main, little bit of steam leaks from the seal throughout the cycle. Visible with flashlight in a dark room.
Is this normal or should I call Barnes and Jones for a replacement seal? Is it easy to install the seal? Bought BM 10 months ago.

No it should not leak. A tiny amount of "flash" is normal as the drop or two of condensate on the threads flashes off as vent gets to temp. But it should not have velocity or direction. This indicates steam is getting by the seal.Peter Owens
