At a friends home... Working boiler from 02-1908. Now burning oil but used to burn coal. I will go back and clean it up before taking full photos but for now here is shot of the all copper hot water tank and a poor photo of the brass plate riveted to the door.

I think I have an old Pierce fitter's book that might have that boiler in it.

I should have taken a photo dirty and all. Also see if I get the series number off the brass plate. House was built in 1863.

How long has that copper water tank been in service? 100 years too? Not with that copper pipe and unions there!

Yes it is 100 years old, at least the owner says it is. Plumbing to it, unions and piping etc may have changed over the years. When I get back there I'll try to find a nameplate on it. But it's in a really tough location to get to, and I'm not sure if I would be able to see the back side of it.
