Taco RMB 1

in THE MAIN WALL
Trying to get a Taco RMB working properly. Only the top pump is working the bottom is cold and and. It working? I have the Manual switch on and still nothing. Could the pump just be frozen and just needs loosening and cleaning ? We just recently had a new well pump put in and had sediment in all the faucets etc in the house from doing so.

    Is this in a heating application, as in with a boiler? If so your well water should have nothing to do with it. How long have you left the manual switch on? Does the bottom motor even get warm after 15 min with the switch on?

    Bottom pump is a 006 used as an injection pump, and top is a 008 system pump. Using the manual switch is a good way to circumvent the control, and run both pumps manually. If the pump is not running, usually you can tell by putting the blade end of a screwdriver on the motor, and butt end to your ear to magnify the impeller turns. If nothing, you might have a bad cartridge 005-020RP. if the motor is hot, and it's drawing approximately 1.5 time nameplate amps, it's a failed cartridge.
