Peerless Pure fire won't turn on calls fo heat - freeze protection

Had a technician come out and he couldn't figure it out said he would come back tomorrow. It's roughly 20° here in NY right now. I turn the heat on and nothing comes from the boiler, nothing kicks on, no sounds or anything. Screen reads "call for heat - freeze protection." I get two error codes one for ignition failure A01 (it doesn't even try to light) and another that actually went off today for internal hardware error E42. The general circulator and check circulator weren't reading "on" either until today. Not sure what happened to change them. My wonderful tenants are never home and didn't turn on the heat and when they finally tried it wouldn't turn on. So I've had space heaters running in there for two days now to try and warm it up. Does anyone know what would make the boiler not want to turn on?
