I'm on a job where the previous contractor piped in a radiant zone under poured concrete using non oxygen barrier pex. What problems if any may arise?
Thanks

Total corrosion of everything, oxygen causes oxidation.0

what it allows oxygen to get into the system or out or both?

Isolate any ferrous components away, steel pipe, cast iron circulators, etc. A plate HX with a stainless circ and lined expansion tank on the tubing side, steel and iron is fine on the boiler side.
Or the entire piping out of non ferrous, boiler, pipe, circulator, fittings and devices.
Or a O2 chemical treatment, checked and boosted as needed.
Unfortunately systems are still promoted sold with non barrier tube, and open systems. But it can be salvaged.Bob "hot rod" Rohr
