Oil Tank

TMPB Member Posts: 1
This past summer, I pumped out a great deal of sludge from the bottom of my home oil tank. To access it, I unscrewed the large nut on top of the tank. When I finished, I screwed it back in with a pipe wrench. My local oil guy asked if I used the proper lubricant for the nut. What lubricant did he mean?

Any kind of pipe dope that is resistant to oil which most of them are.
    Do not use Teflon tape.
