GM. I have a hot water furnace. The pilot is lit. Will not ignite to make heat. The boiler is making an electric sound and there is a whoosh sound coming from near the pilot. Thanks

Could be a lot of things.
Thermostat have batteries?
Electric power on (pilot will work without it)
Gas valve to "On" , not just pilot position.
Picture of your boiler showing the gas valve and overall look.0
