Goodman Furnace gas valve position

Just installed a Goodman furnace. I don't have the model handy but it is listed and approved for upflow, horizontal left or horizontal right.
We hung it horizontal right and when taking the covers off I noticed the gas valve is upside down with the furnace in this position. Goodman's manual says nothing about moving it, I read the entire manual.
There was room to turn it but the top of the valve for pressure adjustment or or gas pressure test would be inaccessible.
So I downloaded the valve spec sheet that night. It's a Honeywell VR9205Q. Honeywells instructions state that the
" valve can be installed in any position"
We finished the install and it works fine.
It just bothers me somehow that the valve is upside down.
Has anyone else run into this??
