Sealing Boiler Flue Collector

I just picked up a used Weil McLain CGa-4 boiler to temporarily replace my current boiler that has a leaky heat exchanger. While going through it for cleaning and inspection I noticed the sealant around the base of the heat exchanger and the flue collector is all falling off. Any recommendations for a new sealant?
I was thinking of using this: https://www.plumbingsupplynow.com/high-temp-red-silicone-caulk-25666

Some use red RTV or furnace cement (which just cracks). I like kaowool blanket the best0

I've used red RTV in a caulk tube, seems to work ok. Isn't too expensive either: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000HBIB80/ref=twister_B06ZXR5G4D?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1 Reeks of vinegar for the first couple of days, but holds up well. At the least that boiler doesn't try to kill people with CO anymore..0
