riello conversion shuts off randomly

We have a riello gas conversion burner that was installed 5 years ago. It randomly shuts off as the weather gets colder. It seems to be related to wind but not definitely. It can run for weeks or it can reset every 2 hours. Two servicemen have worked this. The original installer, and a second who tested with equipment on each of 3 visits to retune, is recommending switching to Carlin. It's hooked to a Viessmann boiler with a power vent about 6 feet from exhaust to outside. They contacted Riello who said it hasn't been tested with Viessmann so they don't have an answer. Any answers to this situation would help

Does Viessmann approve a gas conversion on their boilers?
What oil burner was removed?
Was it a Viessmann burner? If so, I believe they are specifically matched to the boiler.0 -
We had a rouge Riello gas gun on a Viessmann a while back. Chimney vent. Tried a new primary control, checked everything, clocked meter. Then we checked pressure drop, original installer ran too small of a gas line. Home owner didn’t want inspection process so we called it quits0
