Come on guys it's tough to get it right, it's not like there is a book that comes with the boiler telling you how to pipe it correctly.......

We all know 2" is the most popular size and why. Over 2" you have to weld it or get out the big die. Since a Ridgid 141 is $1500 you know they are not gonna do that. They can't read the boiler manual but can read the $$ in there bank account. Or they will copper it.

Not a big fan of Mega Press especially for steam but it would be better than undersized pipe.

I don't know if MEGA press 2 1/2 and up is out yet but I think it's on the way

Yes it’s out and in my 2 local supply houses but I’m going to think there going to be very very expensive.
I do have a side questions he first riser going up, what size copper do you think that is.

I wonder if you could get away with those undersized risers...if you upsized a drop header, slowing the steam down, and getting all the water out with a good sized equalizer.
Such an arrangement might be easier for the customer’s bank account, especially if the header were welded.
Of course in this case the copper used would make the joints prone to leaking, but 2 inch iron risers to a large drop header might reduce the cost to the starving artists.—NBC
