fin tube covers

I inherited my fathers house, he was a do it your selfer and the house has a variety of issues. I have a hot water heating system with a wide variety of radiators and fin tubes throughout the house. the fin tubes have never had covers on them, they are round instead of square like the ones I see when searching for new covers. the fin tubes I have are 2 1/2 ", 1/2" from the wall. How big of a cover will I need? Do they make new ones this size?

    Is there even and enclosure around the fin tube? Or just bare fin? SlantFin sells a retro fit cover to upgrade old baseboard, but it needs an enclosure to mount onto.

    I don't know if you can still buy just enclosure to slip behind bare fin tube, it would probably cost as much as complete fin tube baseboard.

    I've seem some clever wood enclosures built for custom homes, need air circulation, so a slot across the bottom and top.
