Steam baseboard

I have steam baseboard in my living room, one section is about 12 feet in length and warms up fully. The other section is about 20 feet in length. I’m having issues with this section warming the full length of the baseboard. It only gets about halfway before the the temp in the house is reached and shuts off. It has a 1/8” vent opening and i have a gorton D valve on it. Any suggestions on what i can do to get this run to heat fully. Thx

Is the room temperature satisfactory, when the boiler stops firing? It may not be cold enough yet to need all the length of baseboard hot to achieve the temperature setpoint.—NBC0

You could try venting it near the middle (might require drilling and tapping), or you could split it into 2 10ft sections (would require piping changes and the purchase of two end pieces). I know Weil doesn't recommend their CIBB's longer than 15' when used for steam systems.0
