Any ideas on where to get a cage for the trap and how to service the valve?

@Sailah would know, here is an old thread detailing someone having to replace the cage units in hoffman no. 18 traps.

Hoffman #18 takes a 2211 cage unit from Barnes & Jones. Cover is reused. That trap should have an integral seat (i.e. just a hole drilled down through and not a removable hex seat).
Be very careful when removing that old cover and apply equal torque in opposite direction to not strain the pipingPeter Owens
