If your have tenants beware of MoM vents

So I spent a good amount of time trying to figure out why my LWCO was adding water last winter. We replaced all of the floor valves when we replaced the boiler in 2016. Had a tenant move out last week and went up to inspect everything. Just happened to look at the radiator vents and she must have been cold in one room and removed the vent cap on the MoM so it was wide open. It must have been like a sauna in there. I will be replacing all of them with Gortons.

The vent should still close against steam whether the orifice cap is on or not.All Steamed Up, Inc.
