So my gas bill went UP????

Had a Quietside 110 cheap combi boiler. Pulled that out for a HTP EFTC140 F. Set heating to 60% because my load is actually about 90k. Just had an adjustment that raised the year round payment because the amount didn’t cover the winter. Mild winter or average.

Thoughts on this? Just wife and I. Small older bungalow. CI rads on ODR.
Just a guy running some pipes.

Don’t believe so but it’s been in for exactly one year now.

Did they replace your gas meter? Sometimes the old meters favored the homeowner and the newer ones are tighter

How much was the adjustment? Water temps and odr curve same?

Are we talking the same time period for both boilers?

If the summertime numbers don't match up it's probably because you use so little gas during that period that any slight deviation looks large statistically. If you used 12 therms last summer and 15 therms this summer that's a 25% increase even though it's roughly only $3 in gas cost.

Maybe you ran the wash more or took more showers or cooked more?

Sorry to abandon this. It’s one year on the quiet side and one year on the HTP.

No new meter. No other changes. I’ll still need to check average winter temps and gas rates.
