how far into the thimble do you install the flue pipe
here is a picture of the thimble, original is 8 inch but all i need is 5 inch flue, going up like 15 inch and going horizontal about 8 to the thimble, just an fyi the thimble is 6 inch long.

only needs to go in a few inches, say 2 or 3 if the pipe to thimble connection is secured and sealed properly
