Buffer Tank Piping Diagram

Looking for a piping digram for the use of a buffer tank. We've installed many boilers with indirects, but never had to use a buffer tank before. Had a complaint of short cycling during the winter time. There are a lot of micro zones and house is very well insulate.

Tell us more, what type and output of boiler? Total heat load on design day? Outdoor reset involved? How is it zoned, with valves or circs? The size of the smallest zone?
