New Loch boilers

Has anyone else heard about this? Nobody told me to keep it quiet and I have 2 being delivered to my last job tomorrow so I assume the news is out there? The KHN and WHN are now KHB and WHB. Still firetube HXs, still 10:1. The only thing different that I've been made aware of is a different analyzing port.

I originally ordered 2 KHN285 boilers and was told by my supplier they only had 1 in stock. A few days later, I'm told they're now KHBs and Lochinvar is making 2 for me. I'm looking forward to seeing them tomorrow but if somebody knows more than what I've mentioned, please share.

I'm not mad or upset, just curious.

Lol. That’s typical for Lochinvar. Still love them! Thx for the info though

Maybe this explains why one of my suppliers sent me a flyer with most of these models at a discount and limited availability.
  • I like those changes!

What is that red mat under the boiler. Kind of like a red carpet treatment?
    8.33 lbs./gal. x 60 min./hr. x 20°ΔT = 10,000 BTU's/hour

Two btu per sq ft for degree difference for a slab

It’s 2” slabs painted red. It matches the color. Sick, right?

Very nice, I'm excited for my next install! Been doing mostly remodel waste and vent plumbing along with water services lately as we do both plumbing and heating. I do have a new radiant job coming up soon though, can't wait to see the new units, thanks for the heads up. Love those pads, very nice touch!

Has anyone else noticed a price jump on these latest models? I'm struggling to see improvements that warrant the price change... unless I'm missing something...

Don't they include a variable speed primary pump now?

    Yes to the ECM pump.
They also have an 115V outlet on the boiler so you can plug in an condensate pump.
