Out of retirement again (for a day)

The General Society of Mechanics and Tradesmen of the City of New York has become a large part of my life since I retired from speaking. Last year, I came out of retirement for an evening to talk about what we did with the steam system in The Society's landmarked building at 20 W. 44th Street in Manhattan. I volunteered to do another session on June 5. This one will be The Roots of Radiant. Join us if you can. We'll have fun.

That sounds fun!! Any chance it might be recorded? I'd happily buy a copy as it would save my driving approximately 5,998.8 miles. :o

I use to stay at the Hotel Edison in the late 70's when I worked for Amtrak. Looks like they're only separated by a few blocks. I'd love to go. Checking with my CFO.

The building itself is worth the trip. They were filming John Wick 3 in there the other day.

I am so delighted to hear that . Indeed, there are many keen pros are there to heed your invaluable experiences and the stories which manifest the dedication of many oldtimers to this industry . This heroic effort to recall the lessons is highly appreciated .

    Thank you ,

    your loyal student,

It would be great to see you both, Paul. I'll show you a lock that's 4,000 years old and the skull of the last pirate hanged in New York City. This place is like Night at the Museum.

Hello, Dan. I’d love to attend your seminar, but it falls on the evening when my wife has classes and I have to stay home with my little ones. I’ll see if I can get someone to cover me...

Here’s another thing... I ordered a bunch of your books couple years ago, however two books never made it to me. I got this email from amazon few days ago. Is there another source where I can reorder. Or, if you are ever in NY area and have couple dusty books somewhere, I’d like to meet, shake your hand for being great teacher and mentor and pay hard cash for these two books?

    Please advise,

    Thank you!

    Best Regards,

    RomanP

Hi, Roman. Thanks for the head-up. I think it's the spiral binding that's causing the problem. Before Erin owned HeatingHelp, we used to have an office and we did all the shipping. A local printer did the printing and we had them spiral-bind those two books. Amazon manufacturers all the books these days and they don't do spiral binding. Both are available as paperback books, however. You can find them on Amazon, or here in the Store at HeatingHelp. Thanks for reading me!
