Help finding Carlin 200 CRD

I've been looking for a Carlin 200 CRD for a few months with no luck. They don't make them anymore, but I know a lot of places probably still have on they're using. Anyone have advice on how to find out? I've checked auctions, online stores, etc. If anyone on here has one I'm willing to buy them a brand new burner if they'll trade it. Even if it's just parts, it may still be helpful.

Thanks!

Are you sure you don't mean a 201 CRD? I have literature back to the 80's with no 200, only 201.
What part/parts do you need? Replacement parts are still available as they still make a 201CRD.

@STEVEusaPA , they did make a 200CRD according to my OEM Spec book. Not sure when they made the change to the 201CRD or what the difference is. Maybe Bruce Graham would know.

Google Carlin they are in (or near) New Haven, CT now. As @Steamhead mentioned the 201 CRD and the old 200crd are basically the same burner 201 is still made

I'd like to see a pic of it, and what it's attached to.
    Any idea what year?

You're right. There was a 200 CRD. The 201CRD is almost identical, but it seems it has a different blower wheel. I could probably piece one together (which I may have to end up doing), but I was hoping to find a used one before going through that.

Not sure the year, but it has to be around 1960's or so.

I wish I could! But I'm actually not using this for a boiler. The FAA back in the 1960's used these burners for some specific fire tests, and the only way to recreate those tests is to have one of these original burners :s

I know they're essentially the same, and the only difference (according to parts diagrams I've found) is the blower wheel. I can't find the exact blower wheel though, only similar ones that have the same dimensions. Unfortunately, if I want to recreate that burner and get audited later, I may get in trouble for not having that exact blower wheel from the 200 model.

Any idea where I could find just that blower wheel?

The only 2 options may be:
    1. Contact Carlin, see if there is a wheel that would work.
    2. Try the wheel you can find. If it's close and fits (spins freely), you should be able to adjust it to work properly with a smoke gun and combustion analyzer.
Can you post a picture of the wheel with a ruler showing dimensions, and a count of the number of vanes?

No, unless you get lucky at the scrap yard. Most of the Carlins came out originally as 100 crd, 200crd, 300crd etc. and on up the range. As improvements were make to fire against higher static pressure etc the 101crd, 201crd, 301 crd were made.

I don't have a pic of the wheel I need, but I do have the description from the user manuals I found online. Your suggestion of going to Carlin directly is a good idea - I tried once before without much luck but I didn't specifically ask for a modern replacement for this blower wheel. Maybe they can help me with that.

Very appreciative of everyone's input! I'll contact Carlin on Monday. If by the end of the week I don't have a "unicorn" post on here that they have one they want to get rid of :# , I'll go the route of modifying a 201.
