Gas heated boiler system

I have a 4 bedroom house that is divided into for sectors. Each sector has its each thermostat. My question is, can a digital thermostat be installed so I can better determine temp? Two sectors are not being used at the moment and would like to turn the heat off. Can anyone help? Thank you

A digital thermostat should work anywhere a non digital thermostat is.

Why can't you turn off the heat with the existing thermostat?

What is boiler heating? Baseboards? Radiators? Air handlers? Does your boiler have zone valves or multiple circulator pumps? Take some pictures, it would make it easier to determine what is going on.

Check and see if there are any water pipes, which might freeze in the zones you wish to turn off.
