Viessmann Vitodens shuts down in the middle of the night.

Options
Brand new boiler. The owner has to get out of bed, switch the mode from "DHW and Heating" to "Standby" and then back again to get the boiler to fire. Happens every night.
I checked the heating and DHW schedule (0:00-24:00 hrs.) and Economy Mode is off.
Viessmann tech. support is scratching their heads as am I. Does anyone have a clue?

I'd be wanting a new control for the boiler, or whatever brain handles that function. Did you try a factory reset?

Maybe a bad ground or neutral connection-even back at the service drop?--NBC

Yes, Gary: I thought of that after I left the job. That will be next.

    Robert: It's a 200-W, B2HB-35.

Nicholas: Brilliant! But is that how a bad ground manifests itself?

Maybe at night as the electric load on the neutral changes, pretty hard to analyze. Could be OK during the day but not at night. Just AWAG

I was just taking a stab in the dark as a result of others who have had problems from dirty power, (mostly from generators).

Possible bad board. Replace it if wiring or timer setting doesn't work correctly. Try setting the timer for operation from 12:10am-11:50pm. If the boiler won't work in the settings, replace the board.
