Need left-handed thread bushing for old radiator

I am rehabilitating an old wall-hung radiator, and need a 1 1/2 x 1/2 reducing bushing that is reverse threaded! I just got off the phone with the old-time plumbing supply a few towns over, and he actually has a 2" x 1/2" one, but not the size I need. Does anybody know of where I could get such a beast?

Maybe this radiator has a larger bushing, which could be removed, and the 2x1/2 would fit.—NBC0

You might have to use a 1-1/2" nipple with left hand threads on one end, and an eccentric coupling or reducing 90 on the other end.All Steamed Up, Inc.

I came across some old postings on this site that referred to Shafter Brothers in Montreal, and they had what I was looking for (albeit pretty expensive!). If I am going to get the rad powder coated, should I put the two bushings in first? If so, what do you recommend for thread-sealing?
