Help identifying system

Basically an old house w a gigantic oil fired boiler that I initially thought was 2 pipe steam. Has two 2" risers off boiler and two 1 1/2" returns that is on a slab about 18" lower than the house floor level of the radiators. The supply piping is on TOP of the ceiling suspended and has Ts 2x1x2 that drop to 1" pipe that feed rads. No bleeders no vents. No steam traps in floor but there is a old school shutoff valve at floor level, w 3/4 inch return pipe that Ts into the 1 1/2 return under floor joists. There are no discs of any kind in rads on bottom returns. Boiler/burner has no controls other than a pipe strapped 120volt "aquastat" that is older than anything Ive seen set at 180 limit, thats it and a pressure relief valve. It has an old school expansion tank as well. There is a guage on top has hash marks on left side for single+2 story, 3 story, 4 story. I am thinking this is a convection hydronic system, any info is MUCH appreciated. As you can see in Radiator pic there was a kitchen fire and utilities were shut off at night on below 0 temps and there are 6 of 10 rads busted and some under floor piping, trying to get a handle on what to do here prob gonna be a boiler swap.
