Tekmar 363 firmware update?

I have a 17 year old system controlled by a Tekmar 363, and it recently started failing. Not wanting to redesign at this time, I bought a NOS 363 from an online supplier, and it works ok. The only issue I didn't expect is that the "new" unit was actually made before the one that I replaced and it has an older firmware version ( 4.6 vs. 5.4 ). Several settings that are present in the 5.4 version (Soft Start is the one I'm concerned about) are absent from the 4.6 version. Can anyone tell me if it is possible to update, maybe swapping PROMs between the two units? I've taken the back off and it seems to be mostly SMDs, but maybe there's a PROM socket on the other side of the board? Thanks!
