Carlin oil burner only comes on for seconds and water is only warm, not hot.

For the last two days, our oil burner has been only managing to warm water, not bring it to hot.
We have a Carlin EZ Oil Burner, and I have pressed the rest (despite no warning indicator). I have also went to check that it is firing, and it sounds like it is, but to see I would need to remove some thumbscrews which are quite hot!
Is there anything I can try before I would need to call someone for service?

Yeah, don't touch it. You're not going to do anything but make it worse, and possibly create a dangerous situation. Call for service.
When you press the reset, does the burner come on? If so, it went out on safety for a reason, so don't push it again.
If it wasn't off on safety, then you have something else going on. Either a flow problem or a problem with the aquastat.steve0 -
Well, if the thumbscrews are hot and the water is warm it must be working somewhat. Call for service and have a professional look at it0
